Garage Door Services has been installing garage doors in New Zealand for 20 years. We've steadily expanded each year, and created our "Sovereign" Garage Door brand in order to provide Kiwis with double-skin insulated garage door panels. We named it "Sovereign" because it's a supreme product!

Karl Shaw - Director. Once a panel beater, Karl has a knack for all things with a motor. He decided to work in the garage door game after helping his father with a commercial garage door business when he returned from is OE in Australia.

Karen Shaw - Karen has a background in Supply Chain and Logistics, in the wine industry. When Garage Door Services outgrew its one-man-band beginnings, it was a natural step for Karen to step in and help Karl. 

Olivia Shaw - Karen and Karl welcomed Baby Olivia to the crew on the 21st of January 2022. 

Henry Kohere - Warehouse Manager, with a passion for order, he keeps our workshop running smoothly

Maddy Langford - Office Manager, Is here to support and help our customers. Often is the first point of contact when you call Sovereign Garage Doors. Keeps the office running smoothly. 

Gail Steel - Our admin guru. With a background of logistics and admin, in the wine industry, Gail keeps all our staff, and customers in check. 

Jodie Goodwin - Jodie is our administrator in the office, looking after our customers daily you will often be speaking with Jodie. 

Lukas and Beau - Karen and Karl live in Kumeu with their two dogs, Lukas (9)- he likes to think he's the real boss at Garage Door Services and Beau (3) he thinks he's 2IC. Because of this, they are often in the workshop, and love to greet wholesalers and customers! 

The difference between a Sovereign door and other insulated garage door brands is that ours are double-skinned (like double glazing, but for garage doors), plus the motor is ultra-quiet, and we use a full-surround weather seal that a lot of other suppliers do not supply.

Samples of our door materials can be seen at our workshop in Henderson, or we can bring a sample to you on-site. We offer our product nation-wide, and are always adding regional suppliers.
